Abhilash, i am still using Adsense, however i am not putting up too many ad units. Just one or two units only. That gives me much better revenue for every click i get. Apart from Adsense i am also using Infolinks. Gives good revenue on any kind of site but the sites need to be approved first by the editing team at Infolinks.

Your post is dated may 2008, now things have become much worse.. Can you update whats working now for your celeb sites…for me even adbrite is not working.. Need an update as to how you are monetizing your celeb sites..

Yes, you’re right. I have one celebrity site and it is so suck. High competition, but only a cent per click. Not recommended for other.

Well Zeljko, i would say that celebrity sites still return lesser revenue from adsense. However it is easy to generate traffic on such sites, thus giving you a definite income from the site. On an average, my Indian celebrity site gives around $60 for some 3500-4000 clicks. So it’s little better than before bu still pretty less compared to other niches.

Kim, i checked your site Divachickz. You are supporting just one unit of adsense. In my personal experience i have noted that an adsense link unit is a must have on any niche site. It is definitely a great value. Plus the placement can be made a little better by moving the 160×600 unit a little more upwards. Throw the ads on visitors face and you will get better revenue! Just my 2 cents worth of advice!

Thanks Amit. Really a helpful comparison. I have already started using adbrite on celebrity sites since a week or so.. And i have noticed a 200 percent change so far in the revenue with adbrite! Your comment just made it sure that i took the right step. Thanks
