X-Men: First Class

X-Men has always been one of my favorite superhero type movie. And the sequels have gotten better and better every single time.  Now, Marvel Comics just launched the trailer of, what they call is "X-Men - First Class". It's basically X Men V (Five). And by the looks of it, i am not much impressed. Really! X-Men movie is directed by Bryan Singer. Did you know that back in 2000, when the first X-Men was to be made, Rusell Crowe was the first choice of Bryan for playing the role of Wolverine. And so was Keanu Reeves. But thanks heaven, the things didn't work out and he chose, a then unknown quantity, but presently the super star, Hugh Jackman. :) See... how am building up my story??? I am not appreciating the official first look of "X-men : First Class" trailer SIMPLY because there is no Hugh Jackman this time in the story. That means no Wolverine, no Logan.…

Green And Yellow – Lil’ Wayne

Lil' Wayne's just launched a new song called "Green and Yellow". It's dedicated to his team "The Green Bay Packers". This is not the first time that a singer released a song to support his home team. Remember, back in 2010, rapper Wiz Khalifa came out with a song "Black and Yellow", a song about his hometown team "The Pittsburgh Steelers". I think it's just that Lil' Wayne is shooting back at Wiz Khalifa, as the two teams, Green Bay Packers and Pittsburg Steelers are set to match in the next game at Superbowl XLV on Sunday, February 6th. Lil' Wayne is actually from New Orleans. However in the song "Green and Yellow", Wayne admits that the Green Bay Packers has been his favorite team forever. At the end of the song Lil Wayne also says "I just love my team, that’s the team with them big Gs on the helmet". So I guess, the song "Green and Yellow"…

Catfish – The Movie

I thought i might confuse you if i wrote the title like "Catfish" or something. You might have mistaken it for that ugly looking, cat faced fish. But now that i have already mentioned what "Catfish" really is, let's move on to it then. Catfish is a documentary that is directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. The movie "Catfish" opened in USA on 19th September 2010. I am not sure at this moment but it doesn't seem like it will be opening in India. Anyhows, i haven't seen any Indian theaters playing a documentary movie....ever. So no surprises. The documentary revolves around three people, i.e. "Megan Faccio", the director "Ariel Schulman" (referred in the movie as Rel Schulman) and Yaniv Schulman (referred as Nev Schulman). This documentary (also claimed to be the true story), is based on Nev Schulman and the horrors of Social Networking....and Yes! It particularly includes "Facebook". It is said to be a thriller, but…

The Flintstones 50th Anniversary

"Flintstones...Meet the Flintstones....Yabba Dabba Doo" :) Remember the good old Flintstones from the Bedrock. Ahh...I loved watching the cartoon so much. "The Flintstones" was a very popular animated sitcom, a creation of the even more popular Hannah Barbera. Amazing Fact: it started way back on 30th September, 1960 to April 1, 1960. I saw it like 15 years ago, and thought it's a new cartoon. Anyways, today, being the 30th September' 2010, "The Flintstones" completes it's 50th Anniversary. And as Fred Flintstones used to celebrate with his famous catchphrase, well "Yabba Dabba Doo" :) I think i still remember all the characters from this cartoon. The story usually revolved around "Fred Flintstones" who was a prehistoric caveman, who worked in a quarry mine, walked barefoot and had a neighbor named "Barney Rubble" who himself was as troublesome as Fred. The cartoon always had some good storyline. And then there were their wives "Wilma Flintstones" and "Betty Rubbles". Chit chatters…

Remembering Michael Jackson On His Birthday

Michael Joseph Jackson, i really don't think that this man needs any introduction. He is the "King of the Pop". The most successful singer, performer and entertainer, that this world has ever known. Unfortunately he died few months back, but his magical music and dance still beholds millions of MJ fans across the world. I still remember that as a kid, i used to follow Michael Jackson religiously. I used to imitate his style of singing,  although i was a terrible singer. But i wasn't a bad dancer and i soon started following his footsteps. I learned the famous "Moon Walk" and i still enjoy doing it after so many years. I have been a crazy fan of his dance and singing, since last 15 years. I guess i have all his songs including the ones from Jackson 5. And i was really looking forward to his last tour "This Is It" which unfortunately could not be commenced. Anyways,…
