If you are a regular blogger, you must have noticed that i have been frequently blogging about Google Pagerank each and every time it’s updated. So here i am once again blogging about it. Google just updated Pagerank of various website all along the web world, today itself and thus this Pagerank known as Google Pagerank update April’2009. For the newbies who do not know much about the Google green bar, Pagerank is basically a rating Google gives to your website.
Last year, on 10th March i blogged something similar when my Ally Directory became an authority site, i.e. a website that Google shows up in search results with few Sitelinks. Almost an year later, my personal blog SharatJaswal.com becomes an authority site as well. As mentioned an year ago, the term that most webmaster refer to as “Authority” is actually a feature of Google search wherein there are few links shown below the normal search result which are solely meant for the user to browse thorugh the site in a more easy way. “Accordingly to Google, they have a system

I am really really pissed off with Google. And frankly, i had enough from them. So i am taking out my frustration in here. Coz in any case, if i talk to google, all my talks are going to fall on deaf ears. For those of who know me as a webmaster. I have four major directories. I do not have much Adsense income and really rely on my directories for my needs. Consider these directories to be my source of bread and butter. About these four directories, AllyDirectory is the top most but other than that i really love

For those who don’t know, inbound links are the links coming from other sites to your website. This is a webmaster stuff, so if you are not a webmaster, please excuse this post. I was just browsing the Google Webmaster Central Blog and i came across this post “Good times with Inbound Links“. Apparently, Google considers quality and amount of inbound links in consideration for PageRank. If a spam site or low quality site links to you, they just ignore that link and only concentrate on the quality link. I am not sure but i do not believe in this

I must admit, it’s a great concept, brilliant story, good acting and a fantastic movie. It’s a story about 4 guys who started a rock band in their college life (As we all probably did at sometime in college life). Anyways, the college

Google.com is experimenting with many things lately! I have just noticed that Google search has started prompting users for specific keywords as and when we enter the paricular keyword to search. Of course Yahoo has been doing this since long, but Googl.com following it was least expected. In any case, better now then never! This is a good feature though. Many a times i am searching for Russian sportstars or Italian celebrities and i always end up mis-spelling the name. So this feature is going to be a time saver. Good you adopted this add on Big G. Not innovative

It’s been a long time since AllyDirectory.com and SharatJaswal.com have been online. I have been waiting long enough for Google results to show up correctly! Now, as many of you must have noticed, when you search for particular word and mis-spell it, Google automatically adds a red line just before the search results saying “Did you mean….”. It’s called the spell check. It corrects the mis-spelled word and asks you if you wanted to search for the right word. And so far it works great. The only problem i face is with some particular n personal search words. For example:

Heard Matt Cutts about penalization being removed and stuff. << Lies Heard about Google getting soft hearted for directories. << BIG lies. Anyways, Pagerank updated for the July’2008 and as it has been in the past half a dozen updates… it sucks again! I am not sure which algorithm are they running. No matter how much useful content or stuff you add to your sites, Google will at least screw you from Pagerank point of view! Thanks Big G. But i again suggest that you pull down this algorithm and pagerank as a whole. And thanks Matt Cutts for the

I have just been to Matt Cutts blog. He says the new pagerank values shall be visible in few days. So that’s a good heads-up from a very trusted source! Though i have been against pagerank updated since last 3-4 times. I am a little keen on this update! Just for the reason which Matt himself specified. Matt says that Google will be expiring penalities on few websites. Now that should be interesting. I am not sure if by the word “websites” he meant “directories” as well. So keeping my fingers crossed, i hope the update is good for everyone
