GMail Unable To Filter Spams
It’s pretty unusual thing that has been going around in Google Mail since last three or four days. Everyday i delete some 15-20 spam mails, all selling some V pills or some Microsoft, Adobe’s software for 30-40 bucks, etc. I remember, Google Mail was pretty strict in letting the spam out. But i guess they are not keeping up to mark or up to date, so as to speak. Of course i have been reporting the spams to Gmail via the feature “Report Spam”…. But i think the same mails again ends up in the inbox the following day. So … (Read More)

Ally Directory Becomes An Authority Site
Ally Web Directory became an authority site/directory today. I know it’s not a very special thing but still it’s a lot “special”. At least now, people can differentiate better directories from rest of the lot. At least now people will not judge directories on PageRank alone. It’s a good feeling to own a quality directory which even Google ranks as an authority site. If you don’t know about what usually webmaster refer to an authority site, then here is some brief description. What actually most of webmaster call as authority sites are basically a feature of Google search engine called … (Read More)

Google Pagerank
Okay, so there was another Google pagerank update. Unfortunately, Google didn’t learn anything from it’s mistake. I have seen PR7′s and PR6′s going to some useless directories but no matter how hard i work on my directory, no matter how much original and informational content I put on my Ally Directory, looks like Google won’t budge it’s PR ever. As if it’s fixed on PR3. So the concept is very clear as it seems. Make a useless site and you will get a good PR. But do not make a great looking site with great content. Coz Google unfortunately does … (Read More)

Google Pagerank Update January'2008
Alright, so there is another Google Pagerank update. And guess what? Like we all thought, it’s a crap pagerank update again. Nothing has changed with Google’s attitude. I am a strong believer that Google is the best search engine on the web. It also has some great webmaster tools and great communities, recreation sites and advertising programs like Orkut, YouTube and Adsense. But when it comes to Pagerank, well, they suck big time. I think this is how they prove that “No One Is Perfect”. They wanted something terribly wrong with their system, and they have pagerank for that task. … (Read More)

Well, this has been a week with some important news and updates. I won’t go in each and every detail, but just few tits and bits. Google continues to play childish. It again strikes directories and paid links sites. Many inner pages of directories went down to PR0 or a gray bar. Some unlucky directories even got PR0 on their homepage. Yeah, i know how disgusting this is. But anyways, we just found one more reason to say “Goodbye Google Pagerank“. Larry Page, The co-founder of Google Inc has decided to tie a knot with his girlfriend next month. Larry … (Read More)

Goodbye Google PageRank
No it’s not that Google is ending it’s PageRank system. Rather it is the webmaster community that is ending the PageRank system. Today morning, the first thing i did was to remove Google toolbar from my Firefox browser. Also, from now onwards i would support Firefox without Google toolbar. This is being done, so that we all webmasters can enjoy our life. I would never want to see that green bar again in my life. So yes, it’s a goodbye to Google’s pagerank. And i am happy about it. Google’s new pagerank algorithm has been pathetic. Their new algorithms against … (Read More)
