Last January, i bought an Apple iPhone, which was then known as God of all cellphones. Well, i would have to say it was King of all phones back then. But every King’s reign has to come to en end sooner or later. Honestly, i got bored of iPhone. I can point out two reasons at this point of time. Firstly, it was almost an year and i couldn’t find anything amazing or any new updates that could have ket me interested. Secondly, me, myself being a music lover expected lot of things from iPhone. I know that no other phone can beat the iPod application in iPhone but what good is it when you can’t even hear it loudly and clearly.

Few days back, my friend Sumit Bahl bought Nokia E71. The phone looked real thriller compared to iPhone. Plus the quality and volume of music was mind boggling. But the small QWERTY keypad delayed my buying decision. So i started looking for alternatives. Initially i was looking for something with touch screen technology. So i checked out Sony Erricsson’s XPERIA. Undoubtedly a great slide phone. But it was just a little too much on the bulky side. No doubt my friends call it a Brick. Moving on i went to Nokia center to check out Nokia 5800 or NokiaTube. It looked all good on Nokia’s official site. And i was pretty sure i will go for it. But damn! Have you seen a high range Nokia phone with a cheap plastic body. Yuck! It looked like 25 years old and had absolutely no appeal compared to what it looked like online. So i moved on and went to a HTC retailer. I checked out two phones named “HTC Touch Pro” and “HTC Diamond“. Both of them look absolutely fantastic. But oh my… The prices were sky high. Apart from these i found no other cell phone as per my requirements.

Disappointed and depressed i came back home. Next day i went onto play snooker along with few other friends and there i had some time to check out Sumit Bahl’s Nokai E71. And  honestly, it felt pretty good. Due to the QWERTY nature of the keyboard i got my hands set on the messaging and other applications pretty fast. Plus i have had many Nokia’s before iPhone. So all in all, it was a great phone that nearly matched my needs. So i said “To hell with touch screen” and after the snooker i went to Nokia dealer to get myself a Nokia E71. inally, i got the handset i was looking for. Priced at INR 20,400 it definitely is a great buy. I had to visit certain Nokia dealers in order to get myself a white colored Nokia E71. No offence to black color E71 users, but the white colored handset looked pretty smart. Enough of the story. Bottomline, i bought my new Nokia E71 two days back and already have my stuff onto it. My younger brother, Rajat Jaswal, is the new owner of the iPhone now.

I am ending this post with some pics of my new handset. If you want to read the features of this phone, then go ahead and visit Nokia’s official site because it’s really not possible to write about all the features of this great handset. Of course if you have the same cell phone and are facing some difficulties with some application, then feel free  to ask me about it. I will try my best to provide the solution for you! :)

I am sorry for such a stupid title to this thread. But since it’s first post in the year 2009, i couldn’t work up my mind to get a better title.

It’s 10 days since i last posted. So i feel sorry for my blog and myself. As Amit Bhawani says, i am creative and talented but wasting my talent. I totally agree with him. So i think, i would be posting more on this blog and other blogs of mine once i am totally fit and good enough to take daily toll of blogging on my health.

I recently talked by my ill health in probably last two blog posts. Fact is that i haven’t still fully recovered. I am still ill. But i don’t want my blog to turn into some kind of health blog, so, i am going to stop elaborating on my health issue and move onto other important things!

In entertainment, i have recently watched few movies this year. I guess that would make one movie a day. To name a few i watched Juno, Jumper, Ghajini, Mementos, Rab ne Bana di Jodi, Cloverfield, Hitman and 21. Juno was a great movie about a 16 year old girl getting pregnant and actually going ahead and giving birth to the baby. Jumper is an okay super-hero kinda movie. Ghajini is a bollywood movie starring the perfect Aamir Khan while Mementos is the actual english version of Ghajini’s story. Both are good movies. Rab ne Bana di jodi is another good movie. Cloverfield is a very realistic movie. Nice story, nice concept. Takes time to get interest in it but once you have it, the movie beomes enjoyanble. As for Hitman, well i already watched it befor but it was nice to watch it all over again. Lastly, the movie named 21, as the name would suggest all gamblers is a blackjack based movie. It’s all about card counting and beating the dealer.

Coming onto my online business. Since this post i have started posting on my blog. I have been more active on my other blog named 1 Main Street. That blog is turning out to be the first Affiliate marketing blog i ever made. I hope i can learn rapidly and make it a sucessful blog. Onto directories, well my two directories are doing alright, those being Ally Web Directory and Strongest Directory. I have one directory of directories called Top Directory List and apparently it looks like it gained PR in this recent google pagerank update. That leaves one free directory at XHII.com. The directory was receiving lot many submission recently and i had to temporarily disable all kind of submissions. I have nearly 22000 listings to review in there. It’s a tough job maintaining a good free directory that actually follows tough submission rules that i have on the that directory. Honestly, not many free directories follow it’s own submission rules and majority approve all the listings they get. So XHII is an exception but it looks like Google is unwilling to give PR back to XHII. Although i do have good rankings for keyword “free web directory”. Last i checked i was on 9th rank in Google but hufff… the fluctuation in results never let me stay i same position.

Google

Google

As for Google, i see them getting a new logo. Which is actually better than before. I am posting the new favicon but it’s not best of quality by any means. However congratulation to Google team for finally getting a better favicon. :)

Anyways, moving onto some other niche. Well, let’s say friends. Nothing much happening. It’s cold. I go out at 8 in evening and come back at 10. That’s what i have been doing recently. I played snooker thrice in the first 10 days already and i guess i will be heading today again after i complete this post. It’s weekend and i like to play snooker. Yesterday i went for a party as my very close friend Amit Aggarwal celebrated his birthday. Today, i am again going to some party of my other close friend, Sumit Bahl, who will be celebrating his birthday today :) So that makes two borthdays in two days!

Happy Birthday To Amit Aggarwal!

Happy Birthday to Sumit Bahl!

I have to really rush now as Sumit Bahl, the birthday boy is waiting for me at Snooker bar already. And before he becomes fast and furious, i think i should be there. Besides, i think will be losing to him today in Snooker. I think it will be fair if i let him win today on his birthday. ;)

Okay, will come back and blog more later but sooner! Goodbye

P.S. i was lying about me winning in Snooker. Usually i lose to him very often!

It’s 31st December’2008. Time to say goodbye to year 2008.

Honestly, this year hasn’t been good to me. I have not made much progress in my business compared to last three years. Specially these months of November and December. They have been miserable. Blame recession or economy or whatever. Unfortunately Google has been the devil this year. I am sure it ruined many webmaster’s dreams already in order to make itself a big company. I hate so many Google guys many of which are responsible for giving me a bad year 2008.

Apart from business, my health hasn’t been normal this year. I am still recovering from the viral i had in month of November. I had an ultrasound of scrotum and rectal today. There seems to be something wrong in prostat. Probably a bacterial infection. Hopefully that will be gone soon. Three days back i had my blood test taken. Heamoglobin seemed to be good at 14.20g/dl. It showuld be between 12.0 and 16.5. Every test i wen through recently has been reported as normal. But i still have problem somewhere. I will have to wait for my ultrasound reports though! Let’s see what we have there!

This year has been an year of miseries. I do not remember any year where i attended so many funerals. I have lost many near and dear ones. Including my grandfather whom i loved so much. This has been the worst year for me.

So the year 2008 ends tonight. I hope year 2009 brings a revolution for me. I need it badly. I need lot of things to change next year. The change be good. First being health of all my near and dear ones and mine as well. Second ofcourse is my business. I hope my prayers are answered next year.

Anyways, it’s new year and time for partying out. I hope you all have a great bash on this new year and would like to wish you all a very very Happy and a Prosperous new year. May all your prayers be answered in year 2009. Be in good health and take care. And don’t forget to visit my blog! ;)

Happy New Year 2009

Happy New Year 2009

“Are you dead or just bored of blogging? – Aaron”

Thanks to Aaron’s e-mail here, i realised that i haven’t been missing from blogging world for quite a while. Well Aaron and everybody who is concerned, i am still alive and still blogging. However, i do agree that it has been long since i posted on this blog! So here i am…posting about not so important things at the moment!

Life has been hell this December. I have been sleeping 14 hours a day. I had cold, cough, fever, lower back pain, chest pain, chills and body aches. On 17th of December i coughed up blood. And that really made me worried. However after check up it turned to be an injury in throat due to aggressive coughing. Boy! was i relieved. Anyways, the medicines and cough syrups still keeps me dizzy and in bed for half of the day. But good news is that i have been recovering well and recovering fast. Last night, i even want partying out. So that tells you my health condition! Well, enough about my health.

Thing about a webmaster life is that even when we are ill as hell, we still can’t stop working. While taking bed rest, etc, i used my Sony Vaio notebook for blogging purpose. All this time that i was ill, i actually didn’t stop blogging. I have other blogs too and they need some regular blogging as well. So consider that as an excuse for my not blogging so much on this blog. I recently started blogging on this new site called 1 Main Street.com :) Just a casual blogging site but i do surely hope to make it bigger and better with time. I hope to see your comments and regular visiting to that site as well!

I really don’t have much to say right now! It’s been tough last few days. I did nothing much that i could really talk about. But i do apologize for not wishing Christmas greetings on time to you lovely friends. But better late than never. So truly, deeply and heartily, i would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Enjoy your New Year celebrations. Take care and do well in year 2009!

As many would be thinking, specially in India…it’s time we said these words… “Enough is Enough”.

Yes, this is in regards to the terrorism that surrounds Mumbai, the capital city of India. Honestly, i don’t think i need to describe the tragic terrorism that took place in Mumbai on 26th November’2008. All the websites and bloggers are already doing that. I don’t know why but i don’t feel anything in the words of bloggers talking about the incident. Because i think it’s time we stopped talking about the terrorists and the loss of life and properties. We should also stop talking about the terrorism coming to an end. It’s time we started doing something about it. It’s time we tell terrorists that their days are numbered. It’s time we create a sense of fear in terrorists mind. It’s time we let the terrorists experience fear. Have a piece of their own filth.

Let’s accept one fact. Shall we? We, united, are trillions of people around the world. And we are facing some thousands ugly asses called terrorists. How can we be terrified by thousand of people. How can we let them decide our lives and future. You can’t just sit and wait for the government to do something about it. Are you really waiting that someday a terrorism activity effect your family in someway that you could never amend? I don’t think so.

Life is a very very precious thing. It’s the most valuable thing you could ever have. Jewels, money, fame stands nowhere near the very gift of life. Unfortunately there are people called terrorists who are idiots and won’t really understand the true meaning of God’s gift called Life. They don’t care about their own life and frankly they don’t care about anyone else’s. Even if the ones dying are their own family. So what we need to do is really wake up. Take the matters into our hands. Stop pointing fingers at the incompetent government of various countries. Because what i believe (and this is important) “Together we can and we will make a difference”. Just believe in United World and there is no idiot terrorist that can take us!

And please, don’t point fingers at people based on their religion. Terrorism has nothing to do with religion. There is no religion in terrorism and humanity. It hurts when i read on other people blogs that people of a particular religion are the reason behind the terrorism. That is utter nonsense. Terrorist are terrorist and not some guys from a particular religion. So let’ stop pointing fingers on anyone, based on religion and let’s just concentrate on what we really need to do. End of terrorism and a much nicer world for everyone to live in.

Just don’t ignore this public appeal. It’s not about United States of America and 9/11. It’s not about India and 26/11. It’s not about the tragedies, the aftermath, the loss of lives, the victims and their families, etc. It’s all about what we have learned from that. What we can do to stop it. And what we can do, to make a difference.

This could happen to you and your country as well. So do something about it now. Before it’s too late. I made a point to do something about it. And this post is the first step. Even if this falls on few deaf ears, i would know that i made a difference in someway. If you wanna do something about doing mankind a favor, then write about it. Or let others know what i need to say. Because i alone cannot make a difference. But together we can achieve anything! I hope all this does not go in vain!

~Peace

P.S. : Honestly, i do expect few comments on this post. I would appreciate if you keep it clean from racialism and religion aspects. Thank you!
