Mr. R.D. Jaswal (1825-2008)

What a personality at a tender age of 83. Isn’t he?

He is my grandfather. Mr. Rohi Das Jaswal. A wonderful human being. Such a lively person. Such caring, sweet and handsome young man.

Unfortunately, this great gentleman, is no longer with us. He died on 9th November’2008. I don’t want to go in details about his demise. But i do want to say that my Grandpa (Babaji) has been a great father and a great grandfather. And i really miss him and love him to bits. You will always be remembered Grandpa, deeply, heartly. Radhasoami!!!!

I would be very thankful if you could include him in your prayers for today. Please!

Thank you everyone!

You may have heard people say “Pictures Speak Louder than Words”.

Here is one picture justifying it! :)

Goodbye President Bush Administration

Farewell President Bush Administration

It’s the election day today. 4th November’2008. Let’s see who comes out on top!

Public Service Request: If you are a citizen of U.S. then make sure you VOTE!

———————————————

Update:

I am watching the result being disclosed live at the moment. Looks like Barack Obama is the new U.S President. :)

However it is still very close. In fact the closest i have seen so far!

Update II:

Morning everyone!

It’s a great morning. As i see it, Barack Obama has been declared as the 44th President of United States of America. The victory has been big, not just in the result of elections, but big in many many ways.

US Election Result 2008

US Election Result 2008

I just watched the complete speech given by Obama. It was very moving, very motivational. I ‘m happy for him. First Afro-American president says “Yes We Can”.  I just hope that Obama administration do justice to what Obama said in the speech. Only then, we can say that America is still a land of opportunity. Only then, we can say America has a bright future. And i truly wish they do; do it.

I’m not feeling bad for McCain. He will still play a major role in US politics. He is a good and a brave man. He won’t take this defeat as a defeat. He will still be a strong force that Obama will respect in every way.

Alright, congrats to America for a great hope! Time for me to have my morning tea! :)

For those who don’t know, inbound links are the links coming from other sites to your website. This is a webmaster stuff, so if you are not a webmaster, please excuse this post. :)

I was just browsing the Google Webmaster Central Blog and i came across this post “Good times with Inbound Links“.

Apparently, Google considers quality and amount of inbound links in consideration for PageRank. If a spam site or low quality site links to you, they just ignore that link and only concentrate on the quality link. I am not sure but i do not believe in this point. Google, since last year or so, has been only taking in to consideration, the paid inbound links and the low quality inbound links.

Secondly, they italic-ized the word “Relevant, Quality inbound link can effect your PageRank”. Well…Yeah…That’s true actually. However, here by the word “Effect” they meant “Decrease”. Honestly, many webmasters who lost their pageranks can confirm it. No matter how hard they worked on sites, no matter how many quality inbound links, no matter how good, unique, useful content and information they have. If your site is a directory or not owned by some world organization or government or major search engine, my friend, you cannot get a high pagerank. Bottomline.

For starts, you can see Ally Directory. Pagerank 5 initially with just one webmaster blog in it and the pretty ordinary usual directory. But then i thought that i am not offering people anything except a link on the directory. So i went ahead and made more information rich blogs. Launched free themes for every popular script. Added gadget blog, biographies, cars, humor. Made it 100 times better than before. And what PageRank would i have now? PR2!!!

Honestly guys, if you are a web master, you should follow the Google Webmaster Central Blog, religiously. But when it comes to this Pagerank thing, don’t buy their CRAP! In fact don’t believe in anything about Pagerank. It’s here today, gone tomorrow! As simple as it can be!

Just believe in good quality traffic. Just earn via Adsense or similar advertising programs. Don’t think about making a blog to achieve high pagerank so that you can sell the links later on a higher price. Nothing like that will work. Traffic is the actual key to long lasting success.

Here is some important thing you should do:

  • Start a site on a niche that you are really good at.
  • Share your information and knowledge with people.
  • Create original, very very unique, compelling content.
  • Don’t do what everyone is doing. Be creative.
  • Absolutely no keyword stuffing.
  • Do not believe in PageRank tips from Google or anyone. You will stay fine!
  • Do not be afraid to write about anything, as long as you don’t mess with em legally.

I could only think of these point now. But i do expect my fellow bloggers to help me jot down more helpful point for a sucess in web world. So more to continue…..

This post is in continuation to the previous post “Hamilton: The world champion“.

Honestly, the flag, the championship, it all belonged to Felipe Massa. In the last lap, Massa ranked # 1 whereas Hamilton was ranking # 6. The result would have stayed that way for sure. And it was an easy deserving win for Massa. But suddenly for no reason at all, the then ranked # 4 driver “Glock” suddenly slowed down at the final curve. Slowed enough so that Hamilton can overtake him and take position # 5 which then gave Lewis Hamilton the championship.

As soon as Massa crossed the chequered flag, Ferrari crew celebrated and were so excited. But their celebration lived short as after 5 seconds they saw Glock pulling out for Hamilton. They were heartbroken and that’s obvious.

Anyways, i would like to wish good luck to Glock. May you leave Brazil in good health. He probably forgot that he is racing in Massa’s home soil. So wish him good luck!

And Felipe Massa, though i don’t like him, still it was a great effort and congrats for the win.

Lewis Hamilton, well, the whole year was full of dramas like racist abuse, dangerous driving, etc. It would have been a great feeling to win the last race and championship on your own. Anyways, congrats for the controversial win. Yes, you are the youngest world champion of Formula 1. But a loser in the last race!

Here are the stats for those of you who missed the race:

Formula 1 is all set for a nail biting finish in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It’s the final race today and the stakes are high. The race is so complicated and so much depends on this final race. It is going to be very very exciting.

Lewis Hamilton (McLaren Mercedes)

Lewis Hamilton (McLaren Mercedes)

Lewis Hamilton (McLaren Driver) stands at number 1 in the ranks, followed closely by Ferrari’s Driver, Felipe Massa. Well how close? Too close for anyone’s comfort. The difference only being 7 points. If you are new to this game, here is the thing you should know. The guy who finished first gets 8 point and the guy finishing second gets 7. So putting it simply, if Felipe Massa fails to finish today’s race in top two positions, then it is guaranteed that Lewis Hamilton would win. Lewis has to be in top 7 at least for a clean win. And of course, he is the favorite to win the championship. But you never know how thrilling it could be. Because Felipe Massa has just grabbed pole position in this final race qualifying and what’s even more frightening, well it’s Massa’s home soil. Plus, Hamilton will start from fourth position behind Massa, Jarno Trulli and defending champion plus Massa’s partner,Kimi Raikkonen. (Oucchhh….gives me goosebumps)

Lewis Hamilton is just 23 yrs old. If he wins this championship, he will be crowned as the youngest formula 1 champion.  Others are not going to make it weasy for him. That’s why the race is going to be even more exciting.

BTW, in Constructor Standings, Ferrari has already made it to Rank 1 and it will stay on that position even after the race. Ferrari has 156 points followed by McLaren at 145 and lastly followed by Force India with 0 points
