The world has come to a funny point wherein some people will try to sell you anything. Literally anything. Even those things that you already own. Yes, i know it’s funny, but a recent incident from a premium domain name seller certainly proves my point.

It so happened that a so-called premium domain seller company recently sent me a mail regarding a domain “negar-khan.com”. At first my impression was, well that’s a nice domain, but two seconds later, i was shocked and realized that i am the actual owner of this domain, anyways. The domain is for an actress and a model called Negar Khan. I guess she needs a little introduction as she is pretty famous already, because of her film career, television appearances, modeling and modeling incidents. Anyways, the point is how can this domain company list my domain for sale, without any rights or without any kinda ownership. I am still wondering how will they go ahead with the transaction if someone actually does buy the domain from their website.

I ain’t pointing fingers at this hour. Maybe it’s a mistake, maybe they previously held the domain and somehow forgot renewing it, or maybe it could really be a scam. I really don’t know. I guess i really had to inform you all about this incident, maybe because if it wasn’t for this domain and if had been a mailed about some other domain like abcd.com, then i could have fallen for such thing. I could have paid the domain seller an amount of $200 as mentioned on the site. And really got nothing. So in true sense, a heads up for all of you who deal in domains market.

I stick the point again that i ain’t blaming this company as on now, until i know the facts clearly. But thinking about it, first of all this company sends me emails without my consent. I never asked for offers or signed in for any such promotions. So basically they are using my email address without my consent. Secondly they are offering my domain for sale without ownership and again without my consent. You know what, i think i am going to sue this company now. What do you say?

Just in case if i am asked for proof in the future if such thing actually happened, well here are some screenshots to hold my story:

As for tips, i guess it’s best to check who is records for the domain from DomainTools. Any suspicion or irregularities in the data is worth inquiring about. And it would be pretty cool if you do not buy a domain just for pagerank. Remember my words “Pagerank: Here today, Gone tomorrow”. I don’t know why i am mentioning Google pagerank here, but i guess i just had to bring it up someway or the other. :)

Know The New Me

 in Blogging @ 3:18 am

Good morning everyone!!!! :)

It’s been pretty long since i said these two words “Good Morning”. Yeah! that’s true. As many of my friends knows that i have a bad habit of sleeping till late. Actually i am a case of “Late to bed and late to rise”. I usually slept around 2-3 A.M and got up at 12 noon or 1 P.M. So that explains why i do not interact with family and friends by wishing them a great morning.

Anyways, today i have broken all self records by getting up at 6: A.M. Yes, that’s a big change. ;)

I have set a new routine. From today onwards i will try hard to get up as soon as the sun rises. I went for a long required walk also. So that’s another step in my plan. Every morning a walk for 40-45 minutes is must for me now. Hopefully i will stick to it as well. Probably that will help me to shed some pounds and get back in shape! I am pretty sure that these few changes will help me get a healthy life back.

Anyways, moving on… Today morning, my mind feels fresh. Many new ideas are just revolving in my head. And i feel wonderful. That’s the new for you! :)

Okay, just leaving all this behind. I think i badly need your suggestion and advice. This question is actually for my webmaster friends. Specially Amit Bhawani (Its 4th of Feb and He is too busy or egoistic ;) )

What is the value of non .com TLD?

I have few .info domains that i bought for the obvious reason. They come with a price tag of around $2 for first year. Now i have put up some good content on those sites. And i still work a plenty on few them. But they don’t get me anything. Neither traffic nor any monetary rewards. So would you suggest me to let the domains to expire and instead move the content to a .com domain? Or would you suggest me that Content and proper SE optimization is key to success and tld’s don’t matter at all.

Please answer me this question in terms of SEO, Traffic, Link Values and the Site’s value difference if i plan to sell a .info instead of .com. All your answers will be much appreciated. And thanks in advance for your help!
